It’s easy to gain weight in the cold winter months, and to hide under layers of sweaters and jackets. However, if you’re ready to shed those winter pounds, use these tips:

- Get out a calendar and pencil in your workouts and grocery shopping. You will be less apt to cancel things that are scheduled.

- For your workouts, do high intensity interval training. Go from one exercise to the next without pausing or stopping. The harder you push yourself, the less time you need to spend in the gym.

- Drink at least half of your body weight in ounces. Water helps with fat loss, and if you’re dehydrated you are less able to burn fat.
