Here are some suggestions to help your kids eat healthier at school during lunch:

  • Try an open-faced sandwich: Place meat, veggies, and condiments in a container. This will cut down on carbs and your kids can make it themselves. Include one piece of bread.
  • Add pre-sliced apples (squirt some lemon juice on them to keep them from browning) or a banana with a couple of tablespoons of peanut or almond butter.
  • Replace a candy bar or desert with dried fruit.
