How to Avoid the 3pm Slump
If you find yourself wanting to drift off or grab a candy bar at 3pm, these tips will
help you combat the 3pm slump:
- First, make sure you set yourself up for success earlier in the day. Eat a protein-rich breakfast and a healthy lunch. Make sure you don’t go more than 3 to 4 hours without eating.
- At 3pm, reach for one of your pre-packed snacks (such as a bag of nuts and fruit, half of a salad with protein, or a bag of carrots with hummus).
- If you don’t have a pre-packed snack, stand up and walk around for a few minutes. Drink a glass of water, and think about putting something healthy into your body. Head to your local coffee shop or deli and get a small snack that includes protein and a fruit or vegetable.
