Feeling bad about your body? Here are some mental exercises to improve your body image and how you feel about yourself:
- Positive self-talk is crucial to improving your body image. Instead of beating yourself up, think about what your best friend would say to you if she heard some of the negative things that you say to yourself about your body.
- Write down a list of positive things that you like about your body and repeat this to yourself daily. Reprogram your mind to focus on the positives about your body instead of the negatives.
- Become your own best friend instead of your own worst enemy. Pump yourself up and give yourself daily and even hourly pep talks. Notice when you are engaging in negative self-talk and turn these thoughts into positive ones. The more you do this, the easier it becomes!
