Do you do the same Pilates exercises day after day? Here are some fun ways to change up your Pilates routine:
- Try doing normal ab crunches, but first, make sure you are engaging your deepest abdominal muscle. Perform a pelvic tilt and engage your abs just like you would in Pilates, and then begin doing crunches.
- Next, come into plank position. Pull your naval in towards your spine, and reach your tailbone towards your heels. With your pelvis gently tilted and abs engaged, crunch your right knee in towards your left elbow, and then switch and alternate legs.
- Finally, sit down and balance on your sit bones. Lift your feet off the ground and bring your legs up with knees bent. Hold onto a medicine ball, and twist from side to side. Make sure the low abs are engaged while also working the internal and external obliques.
